Free your body and mind from back pain
In 1998 I was unable to work for 6 months because of the pain. At the time I thought I was only 50 and finished, and it looked unlikely that I would ever get back to work again. However, following medical advice, I started using Pilates to help me get moving again and I was back at work in 1999.
My experience of Pilates during my rehabilitation led me to train as a Pilates instructor and enabled me to relate to movement impairment due to pain. My first-hand knowledge of injury showed me how important it is to re-establish functional movement throughout the whole body as soon as possible.
Rehabilitation for back injuries
Over the years, I have realised the importance of Pilates. Not only can it prevent and rehabilitate injuries, Pilates can help you live a full, active and pain-free life with a strong, supple body. This is as relevant to a young adult or athlete as it is to those in their later years.
